Material instability
Two bodies of work consider what happens when the camera is allowed to remain unstable. The Polaroids are immediate and singular: private performances, portraits, and encounters fixed at the moment they occur.
Urban Exposures layers scenes in-camera on 35mm film, allowing architecture, bodies, light, and landscape to overlap without digital editing. Together, they reveal a longstanding interest in accident, material process, and the distance between what the eye sees and what an image retains.
