Image as event

These works use photography not only to record an event, but to help produce it. The image emerges from trust, physical action, and the conditions created by the collaborators.

Together, the projects form a bridge between Weyl’s photographic practice and her continuing interest in performance, collective transformation, and installation.

From the Sacred Yoni archive

Sacred Yoni Ritual is a collaboration with artist Elisa Garcia de la Huerta in which photography becomes a shared ritual for honoring divine feminine energy.

The session is not treated as a neutral sitting. Gesture, attention, embodiment, and the act of witnessing are part of the work itself.

Mud Joy is a photographic collaboration with performance artists Katie Cercone, Elisa de la Huerta, and their wider ultracultural community. Bodies, earth, gesture, and collective play become a temporary mythology.

The project has been presented at Superchief Gallery NFT in New York, KARST in England, and Franklin Street Works in Connecticut.
